The special finish of cast iron on the Grill 71 has innumerable small pits, which can retain fat and flavours from the meat. This achieves just the right effect of the meat frying in its own fat. On the other hand, smooth stainless steel has the disadvantage that the fat slides off, so the steak isn’t fried, but toasted.
Morsø’s cast iron grill is enamelled and is therefore very strong and easy to clean. The enamelling is done in such a way that the ability of the cast iron to retain fat and flavours is not impaired, and the grate is therefore ideal for grilling.
The grill grate swings aside and can be placed at four heights. The accompanying windbreak is easy to fit and remove as needed.
