Modern solid fuel stoves are now much easier to clean due to the riddling grates and air wash systems used to keep the glass clean. Most solid fuel stoves are made from either cast iron which radiates warmth or from steel offering decorative and functional appeal. But as these two materials are almost identical it is down to personal choice as to which one would fit best in your home.

Solid fuel stoves come in a number of different shapes and sizes. A smaller stove can be deceptive in the power it can give out but these would be ideal for smaller rooms or even heating narrow boats. The larger solid fuel stoves would be ideal for heating up larger or more open rooms. For hotels and pubs, the double sided models could become an inviting attraction.
